Take Us Out to the Ball Game?

The San Francisco Giants play the Arizona Diamondbacks at AT&T Park (although we like to call it Emperor Norton Field) on Friday, June 29, 2007 (the night before Westercon) at 7:15 PM. I'm trying to see if there is sufficient interest to justify a group ticket purchase and to organize a group outing for those of us coming in the night before the convention.

We need a minimum of 25 people to go through Group Sales. There is no discount that I can find for group purchases, but the group does get its name on the Big Screen in the third (or later) innning.

Ticket prices range from $26 for upper deck View Reserved to $27 for left field bleachers (they're good seats) to $33 for upper deck View Box seats. Click on the link to see the full range, but I presume that SF fans wouldn't be interested in anything much more expensive than that. (Personally, I might go as high as $50.)

Getting the the game is relatively easy. From the hotel, walk to the Hayward Park Caltrain station (about 2/3 mile), buy an $8 all-day ticket, and catch a San Francisco-bound train. The train drops you at the station three blocks from the ball park. After the game, we take the train back to Hayward Park and probably get back to the hotel between 11 and Midnight. Driving to the game is a Really Bad Idea, due to traffic congestion.

I need to know if there are enough people interested in such an expedition and what price/seating level they would be interested in buying before I undertake further planning. If you're interested, post a reply here, please!
